Tarpon Animal Hospital was founded in 1954 and was originally located on the historic Sponge Docks. We are proud members of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). We are a complete medical and surgical facility with a special interest in Dermatology and Allergies (we treat itchy skin and ears!) We practice state-of-the-art medicine and surgery, and offer refreshing alternative medicine options such as Acupuncture, Herbal and Diet Therapy, Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) and Rehabilitative Physical Therapy.  We offer patients a more Holistic way to manage their medical or physical challenges. Sal Abbate D.V.M., has owned and operated Tarpon Animal Hospital since 1990, and has always been a respected member of the Tarpon Springs business community. Dr. Abbate, is an excellent surgeon and is an internationally published author on arthritis and hip dysplasia therapy as well as on feline leukemia and cancer therapy. Tiffany Rimar, DVM, CVT, is a specialist in TCVM, has been published and lectured internationally, and is a part time instructor at the Chi Institute for TCVM. Our two veterinarians and certified technicians are dedicated to the health of your pet and invite you to come by to meet us and our caring staff.
